Scott Miles
Chief Executive Officer
Scott Miles - CEO
Scott brings over 26 years of healthcare experience, having served in roles of increasing responsibility, including most recently as CEO of Cedar Creek Hospital in St. Johns. Previously, Scott successfully served in several senior leadership roles, including Acting CEO of Forest View Hospital (Grand Rapids), Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Forest View and Interim CEO at Cedar Creek Hospital. Scott has also held Interim/Acting CEO roles for six other hospitals within the UHS enterprise over the past several years.
In recognition of his leadership talents, Scott was awarded the company’s prestigious Chairman’s Council Award for two consecutive years for accomplishments in patient care, outcomes and overall safety. Scott earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University in Allendale

Richard England
Chief Financial Officer
Richard England - CFO
Richard obtained a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance from Oregon State University in 1975. He later received his MBA in Finance in 1985. He later received his MBA in Finance in 1985 from City University of Seattle. During that time, students called the school Portland City University because it was located in Portland, Oregon.
He was a Financial Analyst/Reimbursement for Kaiser Permanente from 1977-1985, and shortly after, was a Director, Controller and CFO for Acute Care Systems. Richard has over 30 years of experience being a CFO, and we couldn’t be happier to have Richard on our team! In Richard’s spare time, he enjoys the outdoors.

Angela Cameruci
Director of Intake and Acting Chief Operations Officer
Angela Cameruci – Director of Intake
Angela attended the University of Michigan and Grand Valley State University and received a BA and MSW.
She says, “The opportunity to serve the community and meet the needs of individuals when all else may feel hopeless drove my desire to join the Southridge team.”
In Angela’s free time, she enjoys reading, going on leisurely walks and finding live music to listen to.

Susan Buchardt
Chief Nursing Officer
Susan Buchardt - Chief Nursing Officer
Susan holds a Master’s in Health Administration and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Ferris State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and English from Calvin College. She is also ANCC Psychiatric Mental Health Board Certified.
At Southridge, she is dedicated to pursuing a culture committed to promoting the health and well-being of not only the patients they serve, but also the staff who will care for the patients.
In her free time, Susan loves to spend time with her husband and their three children. They love to travel any chance they get as a family. Most weekends, you can find them at a soccer field watching a game or at home watching one on TV.

Thomas Cressy
Director, Risk Management, Performance Improvement and Compliance
Thomas Cressy - Director, Risk Management, Performance Improvement and Compliance
Thomas has an Associate’s in both Journalism and Technology and a Bachelor’s in Health Information Administration from Ferris State University.
He made a career path change while working in an acute care medical/surgical facility when he assumed the position of Director of Quality Resource Management, which included Risk Management, Quality Improvement and Utilization Review in addition to Health Information. Thomas is a certificated ISO 9000-2000 Quality Management Systems Auditor after having completed an intense study abroad program in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He has also taught health information courses at the university level for two different institutions.
In Thomas’ spare time, he enjoys exploring complex constructs in Microsoft Excel. He also enjoys working on projects around his house and is actively involved in spoiling his seven wonderful grandchildren!
Carl Meinke
Senior Director of Plant Operations
John Brott - Senior Director of Plant Operations
John obtained a Bachelor’s from Aquinas College and has a double Master’s in Healthcare Leadership and Mental Health/Wellness from Grand Canyon University.
“I have been blessed to work with some very talented and unselfish mentors in my professional career who have demonstrated how to be positive, innovative and problem-solving leaders,” shared John!
In John’s free time, he enjoys gardening and reading. His hobbies include playing the guitar and writing.

Carson Noordyke
Director of Clinical Services
Carson Noordyke - Director of Clinical Services
Carson obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Calvin University and a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University.
“The leadership team at Southridge made it a really easy decision as everyone has a patient-first mindset and aims to provide the best patient care possible,” shared Carson.
In his free time, he is a big fan of all sports-related things. He enjoys doing endurance-based sports/races, as well as collecting sports cards. He also has an 18-month-old daughter whom he attempts to keep up with and loves to take with him while running errands.

Valerie Vranish
Human Resources Recruiter
Valerie Vranish - Human Resources Recruiter
Valerie received a Bachelor’s from Calvin University and a Master’s in Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Central Michigan University. Valerie has over 20 years of experience in HR and recruiting. In her free time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her family and weightlifting and is looking forward to a summer of kayaking and hiking!

Kristina Noorman
Executive Assistant
Kristina Noorman - Executive Assistant
Kristina obtained an Associate’s in Allied Health Science and a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Systems Administration from Ferris State University. She also has a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialty in Organizational Leadership and Change Management from Colorado State University. In her 10 years of customer service, she worked her way up into leadership at KFC and has worked in acute facilities such as Mary Free Bed as a Nurse Technician.
After completing her Bachelor’s, Kristina was lucky enough to work and train within multiple departments in the behavioral health field, including Assessment and Referral/Intake, Outpatient, Nursing Administrative Assistant, Mental Health Technician and Discharge Planning. In Kristina’s free time, she enjoys learning new things, painting, spending time with friends and family, hiking and camping.

Melissa Parker

Melissa Parker - HR Director
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and brings over twenty years of human resources experience to her role. She is passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience – one where individuals feel supported, valued and empowered to grow in rewarding ways.
Melissa chose to serve at Southridge because of its warm and welcoming team, and she is deeply committed to fostering a positive, inclusive culture that employees are proud to be a part of. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being their biggest cheering section, and activities in the outdoors.
